Next Saimono Volume [Dec. 24th, 2010|12:22 pm]
saiunkoku monogatari

[Tags|, ]

It was announced in Japan a few weeks ago at a 'Saimono Thanksgiving' event that the next novel released will be the final volume. I don't know if there will be additional gaidens afterwards, but as for the main story, the next will be the last.
There has been no mention of when that volume will be released, however. It was written in the authors comments in the previous volume that the next volume will take longer than usual to be published so we may have to wait a while yet.
That's all the news I've for now, but I'll keep an eye out for more. =D

Seriously? I'm surprised. I don't know how she's going to wrap everything up in just one more volume.

Thank you for sharing the news. :)

Well, that's disappointing. Although, at the rate I read, it'll take me forever just to get through the ones that are already out.

It would be nice if there were more gaiden!

Thanksgiving? Japan? Ey?

Also, it's over? Sad. :( Hopefully it will atleast give them enough reason to make another season?

Well, the literal translation would be 'Saiunkoku harvest great thanksgiving festival.' It's like the one in the cross-dressing drama CD.

Ah right, so the 'event' was the subject of the drama, not an actual event? Okay, cool. :) Thanks for the info!

Personally I am quite happy about this news. Nothing can go on forever without dragging on. Hopefully it can come to a good conclusion.

It could also mean we might see another season of the anime with the complete story eventually.

Whaaat? I had thought that Saiunkoku would be at least a few more volumes long, but then again the novels have been running for like 7 years now?

Well, anyways I'll definitely be buying the next novel that comes out. Wonder if there'll be any more gaidens.

Thanks for sharing this info. I'm kind of curious how it's going to be finished in just one more volume. From what I read of vol 15 and 16 translations, it seemed like there were still a lot of unresolved issues. I heard it was going to be over soon but I would have guessed a couple more volumes.

I must say im both glad and sad.
Glad cos finally there is an ending, and i cant wait to see the ending of the story.
Sad cos it's ending! I was hoping it would go on a tad longer..
But im curious as to how it's all going to end in one volume? I just hope that the author would make a great ending, and that all things would've been solved by then. Hopefully it is one super thick volume.
And i hope there's more gaidens too!
Anyway seriously, they should consider translating the novel into english (i mean official ones). I wouldnt mind buying it!
